Pay Types
MBS Attendance supports five pay types. The pay type determines how an employee's gross pay is calculated when a payslip is generated.
The detailed payslip generation guide including cutoff dates, carry-over rules and per-day payslips for daily workers is being finalised. This page will be updated shortly. The five pay types are summarised below in the meantime.
Hourly
The employee is paid for each hour clocked. Separate rates can be set for weekday hours, Saturday hours, Sunday hours and public holiday hours. Overtime is calculated based on the department shift length. Payslips show a breakdown of hours and pay by day type.
Daily
The employee receives a flat rate for each day they clock in, regardless of how many hours they work that day. The system counts distinct days with a clock-in event during the pay period. Each day generates its own payslip.
Weekly
The employee receives a fixed amount for each completed work week. The work week ends on the last day of their department's work week (Friday for 5-day weeks, Saturday for 6-day weeks).
Bi-weekly
The employee receives a fixed amount for each completed two-week period, ending on the last working day of the second week.
Monthly
The employee receives a fixed monthly salary regardless of the number of days worked or hours clocked. The full amount is paid for any month in which the employee has at least one clock-in event or approved leave day.
